January 29, 2024 – The Board of Directors of the Viessmann Group has appointed Boris Scukanec Hopinski (42) as new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Member of the Viessmann Group Executive Board, effective January 1st, 2024. With this step, the 107-year-old family company is further strengthening its leadership team in order to maximize the positive impact of its purpose of co-creating living spaces for generations to come.

In his new role, Boris Scukanec Hopinski focuses on operational excellence across the Viessmann Group and co-leads the reinvestment of the proceeds from the combination of Viessmann Climate Solutions with Carrier through entrepreneurial partnerships with successful businesses globally – both private and public.

Boris Scukanec Hopinski has almost 20 years of experience in the financial industry – on the investment banking side at Goldman Sachs and in top leadership positions at the pan-European commercial bank UniCredit. Thanks to different roles, ranging from Head of Corporate Development & Bank Management, Chief Digital Officer and COO/Member of the Executive Board at Hypovereinsbank / UniCredit Germany, he combines comprehensive financial, strategic and operational expertise.

Following the combination of Viessmann Climate Solutions with Carrier, the Viessmann Group is diversifying its activities beyond the HVAC sector. Consequently, the family business is enlarging its ecosystem with dedicated co-investments, minority stakes and acquisitions in all areas that contribute to its purpose.
